CNC cutting and cut-to-size sheet service for sign shops

CNC cut-to-size sheet materials including acrylic PVC and Coro for FineCo Sign Supplies

Some weeks your router is the bottleneck. A rush job lands, the table is already full, and you end up turning work away or quoting a date you are not comfortable with.

That is what this CNC cutting service is for. Send us your cut list or your file, and we cut the sheets. You get the parts ready for print, vinyl or install, and your machine stays free for the work that pays best.

The sheets come from our own Metro Vancouver stock — ATLAS cast acrylic, ATLAS PVC, PP hollow and ACP. One supplier, one invoice, one pickup.

FineCo is not a retail craft CNC desk. This page is for trade shops that already know their material, thickness and finished size — and need reliable CNC cutting without adding another supplier. We stock the sheet, we cut the sheet, and you pick up parts that match the job ticket.

Who CNC cutting is for

Built for production teams across Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland — not end customers looking for a finished storefront sign.

Sign fabrication shops

When the router is full but the install date is not moving, outsource the cut list. Keep high-margin paint, wrap and install work on your floor.

Print shops

Need rigid blanks or contour Coro for tomorrow’s print queue? We cut from stocked sheets so mounting and finishing do not wait on your table saw.

Install and wrap teams

Order letter shapes, logo pieces and panel blanks cut to file — then finish and install on site without tying up a CNC for a half day.

Materials we CNC cut

Everything below is stocked in Metro Vancouver, so CNC cutting does not wait on a shipment. Pair the cut with the sheet on one invoice.

FineCo Sign Supplies keeps ATLAS cast acrylic, PVC foam, PP hollow Coro and ACP on the floor for trade shops across the Lower Mainland. Whether you need a straight cut-to-size panel or a nested letter run, we quote material and CNC cutting together so your production schedule stays predictable.

Pick the sheet that fits the job — clear or opal acrylic for faces and letters, PVC for everyday blanks, Coro for contour yard signs, or ACP for rigid outdoor panels — then send the sizes or file and we cut from local stock.

ATLAS PVC (foam)

Everyday rigid blanks for print mount, painted panels, and fast turnaround shop jobs.

ATLAS PP Hollow (Coro)

Yard signs, event cut-outs and contour shapes beyond a straight guillotine cut.

ATLAS ACP / ACM

Composite panel with aluminium skins over a plastic core — cuts on CNC; solid metal does not.

We do not cut solid metal. ACP has an aluminium skin over a plastic core and cuts fine on CNC. Solid aluminium, steel and brass are machine shop work, not sign shop CNC cutting.

Typical CNC cutting jobs

From straight cut-to-size panels to detailed letter paths — if it is plastic or composite sheet we stock, we can quote the cut.

  • Panels cut to sizeFull sheets broken down to finished dimensions — square, repeatable, and ready for print, vinyl or install. Ideal when your table is busy and you still need clean blanks this week.
  • Letter and logo shapesCNC-routed acrylic or PVC letters and logos, ready for you to paint, wrap, pin-mount or backlight. Keep the creative finish in-house while we handle the cut.
  • Channel letter backs and facesCut to your pattern so channel letter builds start assembled, not stuck on the router. Send the approved file and we return matched backs and faces.
  • Sign blanksACP and PVC cut to your spec for storefront, directional and construction boards. One PO for material plus cutting.
  • Coro contour cutsShaped yard signs and event cut-outs that go beyond a straight guillotine. Direct-printable white Coro from local stock.
  • Repeat runsSame shape, same size, every time — because the file does not drift. Useful for franchise kits, fleet badges and recurring retail programs.

How to order CNC cut-to-size

Most Metro Vancouver shops start with a cut list or a vector file. We quote material and CNC cutting together, confirm a ready date, then you pick up or book delivery.

CNC cutting process from send file to pickup for cut-to-size sheet orders
Step 1

Send your cut list or file

Vector files are ideal — AI, EPS, PDF or DXF with real cut paths. A plain cut list works too: material, thickness, finished sizes, quantity. Email csr@finecoss.com or WhatsApp it.

Step 2

We quote it

You get material, CNC cutting and any delivery priced together at trade rates. If a smarter nest saves a sheet, we will say so.

Step 3

We cut

Sheets come off our local Metro Vancouver stock and get cut to your file. We confirm a ready date with the quote.

Step 4

Pick up or get it delivered

Same-day pickup on many in-stock jobs. Free delivery on orders over CA$1,000 across Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

File prep tips for cleaner CNC quotes

Good files get faster quotes and fewer edge surprises. These are the checks we ask trade shops to run before sending work.

  • Use closed vector paths at real size (1:1). Open paths and strokes-as-fills slow quoting and can change the cut.
  • Label material, thickness, colour and quantity on the artboard or in the email — not only in the file name.
  • For straight cut-to-size, a spreadsheet or cut list is enough. You do not need a drawing for simple rectangles.
  • Group identical parts. Repeat runs nest cleaner and usually price better than one-off mixed sheets.
  • Leave notes about which face is show-side if film or grain direction matters on your install.

Trade pricing on CNC cutting

CNC cutting is priced for shops, not for one-off retail customers. Volume matters, repeat files matter, and full-sheet yield matters — if a smarter nest saves you a sheet, we will tell you. Straight cut-to-size from stock usually moves faster than dense letter nests, and we price accordingly.

Not set up with a trade account yet? Ask on your first CNC cutting order and we will sort it out. Many Metro Vancouver shops open an account the same week they send their first cut list.

Why sign shops use FineCo for CNC cutting

CNC cutting acrylic sign letters and logo shapes for Metro Vancouver sign shops

The material is already here

We are a stocking distributor first — your trusted sign supplier in the Metro Vancouver area. Sheets are on the floor locally, so CNC cutting can start the day you order instead of after an import lands.

One supplier, one invoice

Buying the sheet in one place and getting it cut in another means two POs, two pickups and nobody responsible when an edge is wrong. Here material and CNC cutting are one job.

People who know signage

Our team works with sign makers all day. Ask which thickness will not bow on a 4-foot panel, or whether Opal White will still read backlit — you get a straight answer, not a catalogue number.

Same-day pickup, free delivery over CA$1,000

Most in-stock material is ready for same-day pickup. Larger orders ship free across Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland so production stays on schedule.

Frequently asked questions about CNC cutting

Can you cut acrylic to size?

Yes. We CNC cut ATLAS cast acrylic from our Metro Vancouver stock in 3, 4, 4.5, 6, 12, 13 and 19 mm, in Clear, Gloss Black and Opal White. Send your finished sizes or a cut file and we will quote material and cutting together.

What materials do you CNC cut?

Cast acrylic, PVC foam sheet, PP hollow (Coro) and ACP composite panel — all stocked in Metro Vancouver in 8 ft × 4 ft and related sizes.

Can you cut metal?

No. We cut plastics and composite panels. ACP has an aluminium face over a plastic core and cuts well, but solid aluminium, steel and brass need a machine shop.

What file do you need for CNC cutting?

A vector file with real cut paths — AI, EPS, PDF or DXF. For straight cut-to-size work you do not need a file at all: a list of material, thickness, finished sizes and quantities is enough.

How fast is CNC cutting turnaround?

It depends on the material, the sheet count and how detailed the cutting is. We confirm a ready date when we send the quote, and same-day pickup is often possible on straight cuts from stock.

Do I need a trade account?

Trade pricing applies to registered shop accounts. If you are not set up yet, ask on your first order and we will handle it.

Can you cut sheets I already own?

Ask us. We normally cut our own stock, which is how we keep the edge quality and the pricing consistent.

Is there a minimum order for CNC cutting?

No formal minimum. Small jobs still carry a setup cost, so batching a few parts together usually gives you a better rate.

Do you deliver cut parts across Metro Vancouver?

Yes. Same-day pickup is available on many in-stock jobs, and delivery is free on orders over CA$1,000 across Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Smaller orders are quoted by distance.

I need a finished sign, not cut sheets. Can you do that?

We supply materials and CNC cutting to the trade — we do not make finished signs for end customers. For a complete sign, including design, print and install, our sister company Fine Print Solution handles that work.
